This meetup group's purpose is to help spread the word about cool things on the calendar for birth professionals.  The mission of the Colorado Doulas Association is to organize and support doulas in the state of Colorado for the purpose of promoting public education relating to pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period, to work actively to improve maternal/child birth outcomes and to empower women and families as active participants in maternity and postpartum care.

This group is about being crunchy in the suburbs. What this group is not about is judging other parents who aren't exactly like us in every way. Some cloth diaper; some don't. Some are fanatical about organic/clean/local food; some aren't. Some are birth junkies; some aren't.
